My mum bought me muffins from some place called Buttercup(?) on wed, which were delicious, and so, im now inspired to make my own perfect muffin recipe..
Well.. the first try was kinda a failure, but I guess Ill just learn from it ( Though im not sure what really happened =X) These are supposed to be Jam filled Muffins/Cupcakes but then.. for some weird reason, for most of em, the centres sank in and became very mushy, and the jam sank to the bottom as well! Gah! leading to my first official failed baking attempt. Weirdly, some muffins actually held up and were edible, and tasted pretty decent, so I am now at a loss to explain what even went wrong. I tried to change the recipe a little with brown sugar and honey to get a better flavour, but it didnt seem to do anything, so I guess I have to try something else next time.
I really cant figure out how that shop makes such great muffins, but i guess Ill just keep experimenting until I figure it out... so I think ill be posting alot bout muffins from now on.
Please dont laugh at the funny looking muffins in my pics. I decided I wont take pics of those that look ok, but keep those that look bad as a reminder of this.
